JOIN THE TEAM

Come teach by the sea

We’re a small, community-focused reformer studio on the Aldinga Beach Esplanade, and we’re looking for warm, confident and people-focused instructors to join us.

Our classes are mostly screen-led, so there’s little-to-no programming or class planning required.

That gives our instructors the freedom to focus on the people in the room - helping with technique, offering modifications, keeping an eye on individual needs, and actually connecting with clients throughout the class.

The role is as much about creating a welcoming, inclusive and fun experience as it is about Pilates.

That also makes Neighbourly a really supportive place for newly qualified instructors to keep building confidence and experience without the pressure of having to design and memorise full classes from scratch.

Our instructors also help care for the studio itself - keeping the space clean, calm, organised and ready for the next class, and helping maintain the little details that make the Neighbourly experience feel good from the moment someone walks in.

For the right person, there’s also room to grow beyond instructing into a broader studio role. This could include welcoming and onboarding new clients, helping with enquiries and bookings, supporting day-to-day studio operations, member communication, stock and studio organisation, and generally helping keep Neighbourly running smoothly behind the scenes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re less interested in how many years you’ve been teaching and more interested in how you make people feel.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re:

  • Qualified in reformer Pilates

  • Warm, reliable and genuinely good with people

  • Confident supporting clients with technique and offering modifications where needed

  • Comfortable working with a mix of experience levels

  • Happy to be present, engaged and chatty during class

  • Someone who takes pride in keeping the studio clean, organised and welcoming

  • Available for regular weekly shifts

  • Open to growing with Neighbourly over time

Newly qualified instructors are very welcome to apply. Because our classes are mostly screen-led, Neighbourly can be a great place to build confidence, gain experience and keep developing your practical teaching skills without the pressure of programming every class yourself.

Experience with class programming and live-leading classes is a bonus, but not essential.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITY

We’re currently looking for instructors to join our regular weekly timetable, which runs Monday to Saturday

THE STUDIO

Neighbourly is a small coastal reformer studio built around Pilates, wellness and community.

You’ll be working in a bright, relaxed space with:

  • 9 reformers

  • Beachfront / Esplanade location

  • An established, friendly member community

  • Mostly screen-led classes

  • A strong focus on client connection and experience

  • A welcoming, inclusive studio culture

Our instructors also help care for the studio between classes - resetting beds and equipment, keeping the space clean and tidy, and making sure everything is ready and welcoming for the next group.

For the right person, there may also be room to grow into a broader Studio Manager role in the future, helping with things like new client welcomes, enquiries and bookings, member communication, studio organisation, stock, roster support and general day-to-day operations.
